Luke

Background
Luke spent most of his career in one of the world’s most competitive SEO markets, working across agency and in-house environments in the UK. He’s led search teams and delivered award-winning strategies for brands spanning ecommerce, B2B, financial services and news & editorial, working alongside global brands.
He’s picked up wins at both the UK Search Awards and European Search Awards along the way, and regularly shares his insight on stage at events including BrightonSEO, Athens SEO and Edge of Search. After a move to Australia, Luke joined Edge to bring that global, battle-tested thinking to Australian brands navigating the shift from traditional search to AI-driven discovery.
What does Luke's day look like
Luke moves between the technical and the strategic. One minute he’s deep in a client’s crawl data or rendering setup, diagnosing why Google can’t see their site properly, the next he’s translating that into a strategy the C-suite can act on.
He’s responsible for identifying where AI-led search is creating new opportunities, embedding SEO and AI methodologies into client strategy, and mentoring Edge’s search specialists to keep the team ahead of an industry that changes weekly.
What Luke gets up to outside of work
Outside the office, Luke is a martial arts student, regularly on the mats learning Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, where he holds a brown belt. He is a lover of football, regularly watching as many Manchester United or England National team games as he can.
He is actively settling into life on the Gold Coast with his wife and Cocker Spaniel, Aldo.
